The Makerere College School administration under the directive of the government of Uganda is implementing the recently issued or reinforced directive aimed at formalizing and revitalizing the scouting movement within schools.
The directive focuses on incorporating scouting into the national education framework to build character, discipline, and leadership among students.
The directive requires Mandatory Club Participation: Current MoES Basic Requirements and Minimum Standards mandate that every student must participate in at least one club per week, with scouting being a prioritized option.
