Makerere College School has been crowned the overall champion of the 2026 Uganda Schools Rugby Association Central Schools Boys Rugby 7s Series, following an outstanding performance across the four competition legs.
The MACOS Rugby 7s team demonstrated remarkable consistency, determination and teamwork throughout the series, winning the 1st, 3rd and 4th legs and completing the championship with an impressive 85 cumulative points.
During the fourth and final leg, held at the Graveyard on Sunday, 28 June 2026, Makerere College School produced a series of dominant performances:
- Makerere College 41–00 Vienna
- St. Joseph 05–47 Makerere College
- Makerere College 19–10 Hana
- Quarterfinal: Makerere College 41–05 Kyambogo
- Semifinal: Makerere College 14–10 St. Peter’s Naalya
- Final: Makerere College 21–05 London College
In the fourth-leg final, MACOS defeated London College of St. Lawrence 21–05 to secure the leg title and confirm their position as overall champions.
London College also delivered an impressive campaign, winning the second leg and reaching the final in each of the other three legs. They finished second overall with 79 cumulative points.
This achievement reflects the discipline, resilience and competitive spirit of our players, as well as the commitment of the coaching team, teachers, school administration, parents and supporters.
