The Makerere College School main campus came alive with energy and pride as the institution hosted the 7th Edition of the Official Rugby Coronation Launch. This year’s ceremony was elevated by the presence of Prince David Kintu Wasajja, a distinguished member of the Buganda Royal Family and a passionate advocate for youth empowerment through sports.
The launch was not just a celebration of rugby—but a coronation of talent, unity, and tradition. Students, staff, alumni, and guests gathered to witness the event as it affirms the institution’s commitment of developing sportsmanship.
Prince Wasajja, in his keynote address, emphasized the importance of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and leadership among youth. He commended Makerere College School for its commitment to nurturing talent and pledged continued support for the growth of the game across Buganda and Uganda at large.
The coronation launch also served as a platform to honor past achievements and inspire future champions. With the theme “Inspiring Team Commitment,” the event highlighted the role of collaboration and resilience in achieving excellence both on and off the field.
